The science and art of psychotherapy has changed dramatically. Due to the discoveries in the science of Cognitive Neuroscience, we now know much more about the specific needs that must be considered to make the necessary changes in brain structure and function. Dr. de Jarnette is on the cutting edge of how to evoke these changes to give his patients the better quality of life that they are looking forward to having. The changes are meaningful, lasting, and cost-benefit effective.
Having studied with the founder of Neurolinguistic Programming, as a professionally published scientist in the psychological science of hypnosis, and having taught as a lecturer at Loyola Marymount University on the principles of hypnosis and psychoanalysis, Dr. de Jarnette continues to utilize this therapeutic technique with great outcome benefits along with rapid cost effectiveness.

Dr. Jim has found it to be a rapid and cost effective means to promote optimal health and greater evoked potentials at work and at recreation.
Having recently been elected and served as President of the Biofeedback Society of California, being nationally certified by the American Academy of Certified Neurotherapists. Dr. de Jarnette is a recognized leader in the field of this psychophysiological approach to wellness. In replicated scientific studies, this program shows sustained relief from alcohol and drug abuse and addiction in 80% of the patients studied at the Veterans Administration. In a ten year follow-up study, the same 80% of patients studied were clean and sober with a significantly better quality of life. A version of the same program used in a Veterans Administration study of service men and women returning from duty with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. They showed the same relief from their symptoms with a return to happy and productive lives.
